My Commitments To You
Evidence. Value. Accountability.
Evidence
I will make decisions based on reliable research, complete information and meaningful public consultation, not assumptions or political convenience.
Value
I will demand full project costs, including financing, ongoing operating costs and future tax impacts, before voting to spend public money. I will respect taxpayers by talking about the real cost of decisions, not reducing tax increases to “30 cents a day.”
Accountability
I will ask tough questions, explain my votes and ensure residents can see how decisions are made and who is responsible for them. I will understand what I’m voting on, explain my decisions and take responsibility for the votes I cast.
Clear Budgets
I will advocate for plain-language budgets with clear descriptions for every line item, so residents can understand what money is being collected, where it is being spent and why.
Accessibility
I will listen, respond and explain Town decisions in plain language. If I do not know the answer, I will say so, find it and get back to you.
Needs Before Wants
I will prioritize essential needs before costly wants. New projects must be affordable, sustainable and balanced against existing infrastructure needs and their impact on taxpayers.
